Spring has officially sprung here in Waukesha, WI. The sound of snowblowers has been replaced by the sound of riding lawnmowers (on the weekends, at least). And the insanely loud frogs in our neighbor's swimming pool at night.
I'm glad to report that Paige's most recent medical visit (to the urologist who reviewed a recent ultrasound of her kidneys) revealed no problems. Jim and Paige met with the urologist yesterday (Jim said he reminded him of Mr. Rogers, how can you not like that) who didn't think anything is amiss. We'll follow up with him in a year to take another ultrasound, but as of right now he had no concerns.
On another note, this morning we had a bit of a milestone when Paige tied her own shoes before school. The rule in kindergarten is that you can only wear lace up shoes if you can tie them yourself (makes perfect sense), which is why the velcro Sketchers light up sneakers are pretty popular (Paige has received many compliments on hers).
Paige's reading has really taken off this year and she reads (or tries to) all the signs we see on a daily basis and is figuring out words when Jim and I spell something to each other (in hopes she won't understand what we are saying).
Looks like we are going to have to brush up on our Pig Latin.
